PIPPIN
Pippin is owned by a family moving to a
home that will not allow pets.

Pippin would do well with a family that
hunts and does a lot of outdoor activities
with their pets.

Pippin has had some obedience training,
but it needs to be continued.

Pippin is a 4 1/2 year old male out of our
top female Pepper who passed on her
great traits and natural abilities to all her
pups.

If your interested in Pippin please call or
e-mail for more information.

Pippin's field work started on Monday the 7th. In a two an half hour session he got three roosters up.

The first bird flushed, which startled Pippin, hitting the fence getting a couple of punctures, never
taking his eyes off the bird. Pippin immediately went back into the thick cover at the base of the Olive
tree.

The second bird flushed ten feet in front of Pippin, not startled this time he did not give chase and went
right back to work. Pippin was hot and poppin on scent now, he was determined to find another bird.
With so much scent he worked the next hour with birds running and busting before he could get on
them.

The third bird did not flush like the others, out in the open in blow down this bird stuck tight. Getting
Pippin on the scent trail where the rooster crossed the road he zeroed in on the bird within a few
seconds. Coming in a little fast he stepped on the roosters tail, pinning the bird. A squawk, not a muscle
moved, then a wing slap, this got his attention and he readjusted lifting his right leg allowing the bird to
run. Pippin held solid until the bird busted flying away. Very impressive, Pippin loved the time in the
field and i enjoyed working with him. Weather conditions were not the best, even for a seasoned dog
this session would have been tough. Pippin did GREAT!  "C. Sutch"

Pippin had two flushes today. Birds were not cooperating and running on top of the hard pack snow.
Cold temperatures, poor wind and birds running far ahead of Pippin. The first bird Pippin flushed was a
rooster and busted twenty yards out. The second bird jumped ten feet to the right of Pippin. A total of
six birds got this day, not to bad once again. Pippin has only been hunting/worked in the field for wild
birds now, twice. As Pippin gains experience his intensity will improve with each bird and session afield.
A hard working day in the field, a few of birds over three hours, I was tired and ready to head home.
